Description

This is an ongoing event that incorporates over 12 nonprofit agencies as well as representatives from various immigrant populations and constituencies within Harrisonburg. During a talk, Dr. Porter introduced the goal of the project and lead a discussion on the incredible benefits of community work while addressing the sensitive nature of issues surrounding privilege, cultural identity and ownership. Funding for 2017 provided by Provost's Office. Funding in prior years provided by Virginia Foundation for the Humanities.
