President Jon Alger recorded a "Socrates Cafe" podcast with Christopher Phillips, who previously served as a Madison Vision Series speaker at JMU. President Alger discussed JMU's vision, strategic plan, and various other aspects of engagement. President Alger, the sixth president of venerable JMU, and a board member of Campus Compact, has made it his mission to see to it that graduates not only of his university, but all across the U.S., fulfill Madison's vision of what an educated, engaged, and enlightened young citizen fresh out of college should be.
