Abstract

This is an essay that follows the work of two philosophers of urban planning: Walter Benjamin and Jane Jacobs. The essay explores the contrasts between the lavish environment of Wellington Crescent in Winnipeg and the critiques of urban planners and philosophers like Walter Benjamin. While Wellington Crescent embodies luxury and beauty, it encapsulates the inequalities of urban life, fostering a separation between the wealthy and the less affluent.
