Description

Since 2017, JMU Libraries has been supporting a project to preserve and digitize over 15,000 pages of court proceedings and other legal documents from the Rockingham County Clerk of Court’s office related to the relocation of over 2,000 people to make way for Shenandoah National Park. Recently, the project reached an important milestone when Rappahannock County, Madison County, and others have asked to add their legal records to JMU's database, called Exploring Rockingham's Past.
