Description

The East Campus Hillside was transformed from a traditional, manicured lawn into a natural educational landscape. 3,000+ undergraduate students have engaged with the Hillside, and it is now regularly used by at least 15 academic courses.

JMU received a Governor's Environmental Excellence Award, Silver Medal, in 2014 for the project.
