Professor Bernie Kaussler wins Coe and Cinquegrana Presidential Chair of Faculty Teaching Excellence and Research

Professor Bernd Kaussler, political science, has been awarded the first Betty Coe (’64) and Paul J. Cinquegrana Presidential Chair of Faculty Teaching Excellence and Research. Dr. Kaussler has been awarded a $40,000 grant toward his research on proxy war and civilian victimization in the civil war in Yemen. The Cinquegrana Presidential Chair will be awarded annually on a rotating basis among the colleges. Projects that demonstrate a clear connection to the university’s mission and involve students will be given priority in the application process.
