Bridging the Gap with IIHHS

Description

IIHHS Blue Ridge Area Health Education Center’s Community Health Interpreting, Testing and Training Service filled 90% of more than 20,000 interpreting requests. In addition, 95 individuals received language proficiency testing as a prelude to interpreter training. There were 58 individuals who completed the 40-hour Bridging the Gap Medical Interpreter training course.
