Description

Higher Education’s Role in Civic Health and Recovery – Even as we focus on the immediate crisis at hand, we are also striving to be a national voice on the importance of higher education and its role in civic health and recovery. President Alger recorded a podcast on this topic with the James Madison Center for Civic Engagement in a recent installment of Democracy Matters. President Alger also shared how JMU responded to the crisis in a post on the popular technology and business site ZDNet.com (with John Taschek (’86) and Vala Afshar of Salesforce), and reminds us that people are the most important strategic resource.
