Description
On Tuesday, April 6, the JMU community gathered at the Warner Commons All Together One Circle to honor six recipients for the 2021 All Together One Award. After a year like none of us had ever experienced, and only 8 days’ notice we could do an in-person ceremony, ODK Madison Circle was able to create an incredible ceremony. We had a great turnout with approximately 75 attendees, and perfectly sunny and warm weather. The good vibes were almost tangible and a special feeling permeated the air as we gathered for the first time in over a year. This year we honored:
Zenobia Lee-Nelson, Student - Communication Studies, AAAD Minor, Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies Minor
Sarah O’Connor, Professor - WRTC
David Taylor, Senior Director of Advancement Marketing
Josh Shulruff, Assistant Director, Community Service-Learning
Dr. Brian Charette, Special Assistant to the President of Strategic Planning & Engagement
Chris Jones, Assistant Director for Sports Clubs and Inclusive Recreation, UREC
We are excited to hold a special ceremony for our 2020 recipients in Fall 2021. While we were able to hold a virtual ceremony in Spring 2020, we feel it is important to honor our 2020 recipients in person, especially after such a challenging season of life. The 2020 recipients are:
