JMU Student United Way
Description
The Student United Way is a student-led and student-run community change organization at JMU. Through membership in the Student United Way students can give, advocate, and volunteer in the areas of income, education and health. Students will also have the opportunity to grow as leaders and connect the community by building a long-lasting relationship with each other and the United Way movement.

Student United Way allows United Way of Harrisonburg and Rockingham County to have a broader reach and impact in the community. For example, the first JMU Student United Way project was to feed Thanksgiving dinner to 250 low-income families in the Elkton area.
