Description
Field observations, practicum placements and student teaching are essential to JMU Teacher Education programs. In addition, these experiences serve as opportunities to enhance the relationship between the university and the community. Field experiences are rich in diversity to provide opportunities to work with all types of learners. As a result, field placements are chosen on the representation of different cultures, socio-economic status, and in urban and rural locations. Many placements are available within our local city school division and surrounding communities. Therefore, students may be required to travel.
