Description
Our Senior Showcase provides an opportunity for graduating seniors to network with theatres, film production companies, arts education organizations, and casting agencies in Washington, D.C. in the spring prior to graduation. Past Senior Showcases have been by attended organizations such as Signature Theatre, Woolly Mammoth, Forum Theatre, Olney Theatre, Imagination Stage, and Capital Talent Agency. During the Senior Showcase, graduating actors, musical theatre performers, directors, stage managers, and designers present audition and portfolio material and engage with industry professionals. Our Senior Showcase is co-sponsored by the Forum Theatre, where JMU alum Michael Dove serves as Founding Artistic Director, and is hosted by Woolly Mammoth, where JMU alum Stacey Sulko serves as Business and Group Sales Manager. Recent graduates from the School of Theatre and Dance program serve as Production Stage Manager at Roundhouse Theatre, General Manager at National Players, Audio Operator for Hamilton, and as performers around the country at the American Shakespeare Center, Signature Theatre, on Broadway and national tours of The Book of Mormon, Mamma Mia, and Catch Me If You Can, among others.
