Description
Students enrolled in HTH 408 Health Research Methods conduct student-initiated research projects that go through the Institutional Review Board (IRB) process. Working in small groups, students identify a gap in the literature and select a research methodology and instruments to answer their research question. After IRB approval, students collect, manage and analyze their data. Students report their findings in a written paper and at an undergraduate research symposium hosted by the Department of Health Sciences. Under the direction of Drs. Andy Peachey, Stephanie Baller, Erika Collazo, and Dayna Henry, approximately 175 students each semester are engaged in research.
