Description
With the hope of encouraging community involvement, education, and outreach, JMU Center for Multicultural Student Services is sponsoring this Creative Expression Contest for local youth. Entries may include an essay, artwork, and/or poetry in response to the theme and prompt for this year. The 2018 MLK Celebration Theme is "Reclaiming His Dream: Kneeling for Justice, Rising for Peace". The Creative Expression Prompt is "How do you think Martin Luther King Jr. would respond to the racial protest that are happening today (black lives matter, kneeling during the national anthem, etc.)?"
