Description

JMU College of Education's Career Development Academy (CDA) aims to teach English to speakers of other languages. Leveled classes are designed to ensure adult students advance in listening, speaking, reading and writing in all topics related to life and work in Virginia. Morning, afternoon and evening classes are offered to suit varied work schedules. Typically 15% of CDA students are Internationally Trained Professionals (ITPs) and have university or technical credentials from their home countries. During study, students may choose to receive career counseling from CDA staff.
