How does the spiritual faith of an athletic trainer influence their clinical interactions?

Abigail Forsyth

Abstract

This is a creative capstone incorporating descriptive research centered around faith and the influence it has on clinical practice in athletic training settings. The project consisted of a three- part survey for athletic trainers currently practicing clinically, a reflective journal, and over two dozen books centered around life exploration for personal growth. Results from the survey concluded that faith does play a role in clinical practice. Further research is needed to better quantify faith/components of faith, Christianity in particular for this study, and alternative ways to quantify the quality of patient interactions.
