CMSS HRD Leadership Course Approved
Description
- RD 123 Leadership Course Approved: During the 2018-19 academic year the HRD 101/102 course was approved as a permanent course by the College of Education and is placed under The Learning Technology and Leadership Education curriculum. The course is co-taught by Dr. Oris Griffin, COE, Cynthia Ruff, CMSS, and Valarie Ghant, CMSS and provides training to students who might become a part of D.E.E.P. Impact as a Diversity Educator. This course emanates out of CMSS in collaboration with the JMU College of Education and is designed to allow students to explore diversity and their individual identity-development. Students also learn valuable facilitation skills, how to manage difficult conversations, and how to effectively provide ally support.
