Description
Residents will be invited by their RAs to numerous programs throughout the year. The programs RAs put on for their residents are based on the C.A.M.P. Programming model that incorporates topics specific to first year students’ needs. C-Community: these programs are centered on building community within the hall by bringing the residents together and challenging them to be active and positive citizens in their residence halls. A-Academic: these programs provide information and activities to help the residents succeed academically in the classroom. M-Multicultural: these programs focus on diversity and expanding students’ knowledge of the different cultures they will encounter here at JMU. P-Pre-Requisites: these programs cover three specialty topics, Alcohol and Drug Education, Sexual Assault Prevention and Safety and Security in addition to a Hall-Wide Social.
