Abstract
This evaluation looks at the UN Mine Action Programme in Nepal, which comprised two distinct but complementary components: one managed by the UN Mine Action Service (UNMAS) and the other by the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).
The aims of the evaluation were to:
- assess the efficacy of the UN Mine Action Programme in Nepal
- identify strengths and weaknesses in the relationships, structures, capacity development and processes that have been established
- make recommendations for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of similar programmes
