Abstract
The Forest' is a piece of descriptive writing, scaffolded with figurative language, vivid imagery, and a stark contrast between the beginning and the end. The forest the narrator is in starts off seeming divine and pure, and later transitions into appearing evil and sinister, symbolizing how people are often deceived by the true nature of things or other people around them.
