After the introduction, it begins with a study of literary translation focusing on John Biguenet and Rainer Schulte’s The Craft of Translation, a compilation of essays by scholars in the field of translation. The thesis includes the English translation of two full chapters of Mexican author Elena Poniatowska’s novel Paseo de la Reforma. Prior to the two chapters is a section outlining specific examples of the research and decisions made during the translation process.
